Festive Night

This was the most boring Diwali night for me. The boring part starts with no one to go out to celebrate with and the fact that that the exam is so close. I was in my house all alone and watching television. I slept very early (this I never do this festive day). I miss the days when I and my friends go out that very night, singing and having fun. Miss the part where we all have fun. It was a very joyful occasion to remember, to recollect and laugh about it. I did not go last year and this was the same thing. And I am afraid that this would happen the following year too. With nothing to do, I sat beside the television selecting random channels and picking what I would like to watch. With some hours spend watching the television, I went to sleep. To my surprise I was sleeping earlier than my brother.

It was about 11:30 p.m., I was asleep like a dead person not able to hear anything. Suddenly my mother woke me up to give respect or homage (I don’t know how to describe this, so added this way) to the group in my door. With things done with, I went to my cozy and hot bed. Hoping that no one come up next time. At around 2:30 in the morning I song woke me up, I song that I would not like to hear early in the morning. My hope amplified in the backward direction. This time my mother answered the door. You may think it was not a good thing for me, but it wasn't. They were singing using a microphone so the sound did not allow me to sleep. The noise or song woke my brother too, I do not know about the neighbors but I am positive that they were not in their happy place. Finally the group went and I got my sleep.

I was awaken by the light even off by the tube light and I was not ready for another boring day in school. What I hope for again back fired me once more. It was a boring day with lots of students being absent because of the some ceremony (BHAI TICA) related to Diwali. But it was a blessing in disguise for me. I got to study. I could finish up my notes and revise some of the topics. With not many days to go for my exam, I wish all the students of Bhutan a very best of luck in their upcoming exam. Study well and don’t forget to have fun. Be responsible for your acts and happy winter vacation.
